[attr="class","maverick"] solo wild, route 111. capture plz! It wasn’t that Maverick thought that his growlithe was weak. He was just, young and little. Kona had a lot to learn before it was ready to truly battle. But that didn’t stop the little growlithe from darting so far away, he soon became a speck in Maverick’s line of sight. He grumbled to himself. “Kona! Come back! I can barely see you!” The man hollered out to his puppy, concern crossed his expression. “Hey Kona!” The puppy either couldn’t hear him or was ignoring him. Either way, the fire pup continue to run further and further away. This made him uncomfortable. But just as the man turned to ask Azula to go get him, a loud sharp whimper could be heard in the distance. His heart skipped a beat, warm orbs turned to see where his orange speck was. “Azula go-“ before he could even finish his sentence, the houndoom was off to investigate what happen. Sighing, the man went from a casually walk to a light sprint. And in that matter of a few minutes, Azula was by the growlithe side. She whined, nose pushed against Kona’s unmoving body. The pup whimpered in return, head lifted to lick the houndoom’s muzzle. A wave of relief washed over both her and her trainer when he finally got to them. He huffed and puffed, already out of shape it seemed. He bent over, hands rested on his knees as he tried to catch his breath. But before he could asked what happened or try to investigate, something attack them. Maverick shielded his face as star like objects hit the ground around them. Dirt and dust clouded their vision as Azula snarled ferociously, body stiffened as she faced the direction the attack came from. Maverick snatched the growlithe off the ground, cradling the pup in his arms. Kona whined, snuggling against his chest. “Azula,” the man growled, eye squinted as he tried to find out what it was, “Sludge bomb.” The canine didn’t waist anytime. Taking a deep breath, the toxic substance soon erupted from her parted muzzle and disappeared into the dust cloud. And at first, nothing appeared to happen. Both Maverick and Azula were on high alert, watching and waiting for something. But when the dirt and dust settled, a cyndaquil laid on the ground. “What the?” The man mumbled, moving towards the wild pokemon, “Is that what knocked out Kona?” The man tapped the creature with his foot. It moved, a purple hue over it’s nose indicated it was poisoned. “Whoops.” Sighing, the man reached into his pocket and pulled out the common two toned ball. He tossed it, attempting to catch the creature in a ball. His gaze flickered to Azula who seemed unhappy he was capturing the creature. “I’m not going to leave it here to die. I’ll take them both to the pokemon center.” A snort retort came from her before she nudged the poor growlithe in his arms. He pawed at her face, a tired whimper come from him. “He’s alright,” he reassured her, patting her head skull, “He’s better than that cyndaquil.” She growled. “What?” She wasn’t happy. Figures.
